Travel Grants for Early-Career Researchers

We are pleased to announce that we can offer a limited number of travel grants from the Carlsberg Foundation to support early-career researchers (PhD students, postdocs, or assistant professors) attending the EAMSA 2025, including a pre-conference Paper Development Workshop (PDW) scheduled for 4th November.
Successful applicants are responsible for booking and purchasing their own flights and submitting reimbursement requests after the conference. The grant will only reimburse the actual amount you paid: The maximum reimbursement for flights within Europe is DKK 2,000 per person, and for intercontinental flights, DKK 5,000.
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must;
- Submit a conference paper to eamsa2025@cbs.dk no later than 1 August 2025 AND
- Submit a travel grant application to fha.egb@cbs.dk no later than the same deadline for paper submissions.
Your application should be a 2-page document (as one PDF file) that includes the following information:
1) a short CV (maximum 1 page) with the verification of your current position as an early-career researcher (such as a profile page of your university),
2) a summary of your main research area, the abstract of the paper you are submitting to the EAMSA 2025, together with an estimated flight cost (all these within 1 page), and
3) As an option, you can also attach a supporting document (such as a letter of recommendation), but this should not exceed 1 page.
The outcome of the grant application will be notified in late August 2025. Priority is given to (a) those in early career stages, (b) those who are based in low-income countries, and (c) the papers that clearly address this year’s conference theme.
